FAQ

Licenses

What is the difference between non-exclusive and exclusive license?

Exclusive Licence: An exclusive license grants you exclusive rights for a beat/insturmental. Which means that you are granted the right to say "I'm the only one who can use this beat". Although, once you have attained these exclusive rights, you do not own the beat. The producer/s & musicians involved still retain and have the rights of a portion of the writers share or the underlying composition. Non-Exclusive License: A non-exclusive license grants you permission to use the beat. How you use the beat is depended on the type of license you obtain. Although, once you have attained these permissions, you do not own the beat. The producer/s & musicians involved still retain and have the rights of a portion of the writers share or the underlying composition. More Info: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffhnoyqa4PY

Can I buy a license for someone else to use?

As stated in the license agreement, licenses are non-transferable. Unless you are the manager for an artist, the artist must be the main licensee.

What if I go beyond the terms and permissions of my license agreement?

Contact me on my email at riddomusic@gmail.com and we can discuss an agreement that will suit your situation. An upgrade will typically be our resolution depending on the circumstances.

What are trackouts/stems?

Trackout/Stems are the individual musical elements of a recording (eg. Vocals, Drums, Synths etc.). Trackouts provided may vary depending on the recording. An example would be that a recording could provide 10 audio files (typically .wav files) that make up the total length of recording with filenames like "EX_riddo_Kick, EX_riddo_Snare, EX_riddo_BV" etc. This is helpful for artists who want to dig deeper into the mix with much more control over the overall quality.
